A major event on the lake
Kyrgyzstan will host a round of the UIM F1H2O World Championship — Grand Prix of Kyrgyzstan — Issyk-Kul 2026 for the first time. Events are announced for 31 July to 2 August 2026, with racing scheduled for 1–2 August.
This is genuinely Formula 1 on water: high-speed single-seat racing boats, not automobile Formula 1.
Location
According to the official organiser information, the venue is on Issyk-Kul near the village of Baet. Karakol can be a convenient base, but allow ample time for the road and return transport.
